I completed my BCompt (Hons) through Unisa whilst serving articles at Alleson and Co in Durban.

After articles I joined Arthur Andersen’s tax division in Durban. I transferred to Andersen in Johannesburg in 1987 and completed my board exams and qualified as a Chartered Accountant (SA) in 1988.

I returned to Durban to lead the Andersen tax  practice in 1989 and was admitted to the partnership in 1995. 

In 2000, I joined Deloitte as a tax director and lead their tax practice in KZN from 2001 to 2007.  While I have broad tax experience, my area of specific expertise is corporate tax with a focus on the manufacturing, retail, property and agricultural sectors.

My experience includes corporate restructurings, mergers and acquisitions, tax due diligences, VAT, large business corporate compliance, and dispute resolution.

I am a member of the Institute of Directors of Southern Africa; a past member of the IODSA KZN Regional Committee; and a past member of SAICA Eastern Region Tax Committee.
