I studied at the University of Cape Town where I obtained a Bachelor of Commerce Degree, majoring in Economics and Law, and a Bachelor of Laws Degree. I then returned to KwaZulu-Natal to complete my law articles. I gained experience in litigation, insolvency law and conveyancing and was admitted as an attorney in 2010.

My career in tax started when I joined PwC, where I worked for 9 years. I headed up the Employment Tax Department in KZN and played a key role in supporting PwC’s national Employment Tax practice. I then joined Corporate Tax Solutions as a Senior Tax Manager in September 2019.

Our experience includes corporate restructurings, mergers and acquisitions, tax incentives, large business corporate tax compliance including review of income tax and deferred tax computations and tax returns, international structuring, advice on the use of the double tax treaty network, transfer pricing and employment taxes.  

While I consult across all tax types, I have a special interest in employees’ tax and related matters, including: tax opinions, performing PAYE health checks and due diligence work; advice on fringe benefits; assistance with remuneration structuring exercises and cost-to-company conversions; consulting on the Employment Tax Incentive; advising on tax aspects of international employee assignments; assisting clients in PAYE disputes with SARS; and advising on other matters relating to tax compliance for employers carrying on business in South Africa.
